Four Letter Word is a four-track EP by Kenyan Afro-Indie singer-songwriter Njerae, released on February 14, 2025, through Universal Music East Africa. The EP explores themes of love, longing, lust, and human connection, blending Afro-pop, R&B, and Afro-Indie elements with lyrics in English and Kikuyu. It marks a return to Njerae’s original musical style while incorporating experimental sounds from her earlier works. The EP features the tracks “Fight for You” (produced by Wondamagik), “Beg for It” (produced by Kobby Worldwide), “Decide” (produced by Vic West), and “Hypnotize” (produced by Kobby Worldwide).

The single “Beg for It,” released on January 17, 2025, peaked at #36 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Kenya chart. The EP has been praised for its soulful storytelling and versatility, with a runtime of approximately 11 minutes.

Njerae, often called “Kenya’s Lover Girl,” was named to Apple Music’s Africa Rising Stars Class of 2025, highlighting her growing influence. A music video for “Beg for It” was also released on Valentine’s Day 2025.
